Take 30 credits a year to graduate in four years
Summer session helps you stay on track to graduate on time, especially if you can’t take 15 credits during the spring and fall semesters. Most summer session courses meet degree requirements or are general education (GEP) courses required for all majors.
Registration clearance is not required for summer session. Advising is recommended, but not required.
Use myUMBC to register for up to 8 credits per session. If you would like to take more than 8 credits per session, submit an Excess Credit Permission Form to the Office of Academic and Professional Advising for review.
Be sure to review important dates and deadlines for summer session.
