Academically strong high school students (rising juniors or seniors) can take summer session classes if they meet UMBC’s high school concurrent enrollment requirements. Most credits earned can be applied to degree programs at UMBC or are transferable to other colleges/universities. For more information about concurrent enrollment for high school students, contact:
Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Orientation
Be sure to review the important summer session dates and deadlines.
Non-credit academic workshops, courses, and camp programs for middle and high school students
UMBC’s Summer Enrichment Academy (SEA) provides middle and high school students a stimulating introduction to the college experience with opportunities in science, engineering, technology, the arts and humanities, all led by UMBC faculty, industry professionals and graduate students. Designed to spark our students’ deepest passions and interests, SEA offers a variety of rigorous/engaging 1 and 2 week summer workshops and camp programs.
Due to COVID-19, all SEA courses will be offered virtually in 2021. For more information, contact the SEA program.
